Taking a day trip away to see other wonderful locations is a must. There are numerous coach excursions to choose from. The railway also offers fantastic views for a reasonable price. Why not take the car and stay away over-night in a small B+B and discover the countryside to its` fullest.

With a panoramic view from the jardin exotique, and ancient castle. Walk around the narrow streets, restored houses..etc..
Menton - Claims to be the warmest resort on the (Port is very impressive) is also an interesting place to stop & look around. – along the coast road is worth the experience but slow going during July/August.
Along the Riviera towards Monaco & Italy or Grasse is about an hours drive; well known for its perfume industry. Fayance & surrounding areas for gliding; also take a drive past the Lac de St. Cassien.. Altitude 2,677ft. an Alpine landscape on the banks of the Roya. BIOT (2,500 Years of history) Nr. Villeneuve Loubet; the Old village back from the sea front where you will also see Marina Baie des Ange. This building can be seen from miles around. Vallauris – near the sea, where Picasso infused new life into it. Traditional craft & pottery @ the French centre of ceramics. (Festival from July) St-Paul de Vence is worth a visit. de) which commands access to the road over the pass into specially at night. Tende & (. Long sandy beaches, two marinas, festivities & cultural events. Famous for its “Menton” lemons and the Fete du Citron. At the far end of Menton is the Italian border line.
OTHER NEARBY PLACES – WORTH A VISIT - Drive along the Grande Corniche, built by Napoleon: – Menton to Nice passing through La Turbie (1,575ft.) with spectacular views of the coastline and down to Monaco.
